About the MIT Energy Conference (MITEC)

The MIT Energy Conference frames conversation and informs debate on the most pressing global energy issues and opportunities. Each year, it brings together current and future leaders in energy technology, policy and business to participate in stimulating discussions. The engaging ensemble of events provides a chance to foster the relationships necessary in pursuit of sustainable energy systems. The 2012 MIT Energy Conference will be held on March 16th and 17th in Boston, U.S. Please check for more information. 


Become a g-Enesis delegate to the MITEC 2013!


The University of Tokyo Energy Club (g-Enesis) will choose a few candidates to participate in this international conference with the following purposes: 

     1. To research the frontiers of world’s energy business and energy technology 
     2. To communicate and network with other energy clubs in the world.

Financial Support by AGS! 


Most of the expenses for travel and accommodation will be supported by AGS. (Please be informed that there is possibility that you need to pay twenty thousand yen by yourselves as additional expenditure besides AGS funding) 




Strong interest and commitment in energy problems.


Commitment to serve as committee member of g-Enesis until March 2014.(Students who will attend the University of Tokyo at least for the next academic year are preferred.)


To attend the study meetings before participating in the conference. You are also expected to make some presentations to report about what you have learned from MITEC in the debriefing session of g-Enesis (after the conference).


For international students, ability to obtain US visa prior to the conference. 


Selected candidates for MIT Energy Conference are expected to be future committee members of g-Enesis. Committee-members are responsible to set the study sessions, projects, submit articles to our blog, and involve in networking and management activities of g-Enesis. Therefore, we welcome candidates who have strong motivation, and are able to spare time to participate in these activities.


Please note that funding priorities will be given to candidates who are able to engage themselves in g-Enesis management activities after the MITEC.

Interview by previous delegates of MITEC. Short-listed candidates after application form evaluation will be called for an interview. Interview dates will be announced later
